Tranquil Times Holistic Retreat is located in Sadovo, an authentic Bulgarian village.

We are nestled in a valley surrounded by vineyards, forest and beautiful countryside which is part of the Kamchia Nature Reserve.

Situated just a short 25 minute drive from beaches and Varna city centre, the sea capital of Bulgaria, you will find our retreat easily accessible. Varna is spelt BAPHA in the cyrilic alphabet.


From the UK, you can fly direct into Varna (VAR) or Bourgas (BOJ) from various regional airports. Flying time is 3 to 3.5 hours.

Varna International Airport is 35 minutes away and has direct flights from regional airports in most European countries including Scandinavia, the Middle East and Russia. Burgas International Airport is our next closest airport and is 1.5 to 2 hours away. Many guests fly into Bourgas as flights are so plentiful and often cheaper. We're happy to organise transfers from Varna or Bourgas airport and back and will try where possible to keep costs down by journey sharing with other participants. Alternatively, car hire is available from the airport and is useful if you wish to explore and see more of Bulgaria. Travelling by public transport is also an option - it's very cheap but will take a little longer.

We can arrange a transfer from Varna to Sadovo and the price is 60 leva for a single trip, or 120 leva return (approximately £55/61 Euro).

Transfers from Bourgas to Sadovo cost 120 leva for a single trip, or 240 leva return (approximately £110/122 Euro).

Some of our guests fly into and out of different Bulgarian airports because they want to experience more of the country and/or to get the cheapest available flights. So there's also Sofia airport and Plovdiv airport to the south. Ryan Air are now offering cheap flights into Sofia from all around Europe.

There are daily internal flights from Sofia to Varna operated by
Wizz Air and Bulgaria Air plus a good network of trains and coaches within the country and down the Black Sea coast to Istanbul. Many guests flying long haul arrive into Varna via Istanbul with Turkish Airlines

Taking a cheap flight with
Blue Air into Bucharest in Romania, then a taxi or buses to Varna is also an option.
